End user cracking is pretty straight forward, search for the crack and apply it. There are some things to keep in mind though. The websites I'm about to suggest are not the most scrupulous web servers in the world. Be very careful what you click on. Use the X in the upper right hand corner or Alt + F4 to close popup windows. Popups can be programmed to do whatever they want. The NO button can install a trojan horse to your machine as easily as the YES button. Astalavista.box.sk is an excellent source for software cracks. All of the software I mention on these pages can be cracked using patches from this site. Again, be careful, the only popup button that is safe to click on is the one that reads "Download the Crack". You don't have to install any software or accept any other popups. It may tell you that you have to install their "download helper" but you can decline and it lets you click "Download the Crack" anyway. You may need to copy the patch to the same directory as the program's main executable before running it. Game Copy world is another good site for downloading PC game cracks. These NO-CD cracks bypass the CD copy protection check and allow you to play with a "backup" copy of the original. Usually you have to copy it to the game directory containing the game's main executeable ie. C:\Program Files\Quake VII. When you enter the site click on one of the open North American servers. |
