Ripping is the act of converting music from an audio CD to MP3 format. I prefer using Music Match Jukebox, it's easy to use and has a lot of options to ajust the quality of the MP3 you create. One nice feature is the ability to use CDDB or CD Database. It identifies the songs on the CD and automatically names your MP3's accordingly. It also can grab the music lyrics and album cover for you. Some software like Windows Media Player will then be able to show you the album cover and lyrics while you listen to the song.
